CREST Monthly Update August 2024
This month, we achieved significant progress by successfully pouring concrete for 11 units. We have also received materials for the next three houses, and with two houses already formed, we are set to commence preparations for the subsequent five units within the month.
An inspection has been scheduled; however, a specific date has yet to be provided by the Lafayette Utility System (LUS), which is responsible for arranging the walkthrough. It is essential that the engineers from Duplantis Design Group (DDG) are available and that the water supply for the subdivision is restored before the inspection can proceed. Consequently, the timing of both the startup and the walkthrough depends on LUS.
Furthermore, it is critical for all relevant parties to attend the startup, including SLEMCO (the electric utility company), Derouen Electric (the electrician), DDG, Leleux (site contractor for the installation of the sewer system, water system, drainage system, and earthwork), and our team. Their presence is necessary, as each has played a role in the development of the sewer plant.
Looking ahead, we anticipate starting pre-leasing some units towards the end of November, as the slabs have already been completed. Thus, we are not starting from scratch.
